Our Programs
back to High School exchange Germany
Students who join the intercultural exchange of ODI in Germany live with a carefully selected German host family and share their everyday life. Attending the local high school is an essential part of this experience. In most cases, the student will go to school with the children of the host family, making new friends at school as well as in the family circle. The program focuses mostly on practicing the language in everyday situations and learning about German culture from within. These programs are ideal for students with some knowledge of the German language who want to practice and improve their skills through a cultural experience.
Long Term Programs
It is the goal of our long-term programs that the exchange students feel at home in Germany. Our carefully chosen host families open their home not for a guest student, but for a new, temporary member of the family. Students attend the local public school, in most cases together with the children of their host family. The program exceeds by far the improvement of linguistic skills. Once a student is fluent in the German language, he/she will start discovering the German culture and form friendships that may last a lifetime. He/she will begin to see Germany as his/her second home and might return to Germany to continue his/her education or professional career. This program combines the adventure of living in a foreign country with a safe and affectionate family life.
